At Lancaster Mobley, we eagerly anticipate fall—not just for the crisp air and colorful leaves but for the return of the Bill Kloos Traffic Bowl, now in its 33rd year!
Hosted by Oregon ITE, the event brought together professionals, academics, and students at the Portland DoubleTree for an evening of socializing, dinner, and high-energy trivia. Teams from regional universities tested their knowledge on topics ranging from sight distance studies and pedestrian safety to roundabouts and traffic studies.
The event’s namesake, Bill Kloos, was a visionary leader and mentor in Portland’s transportation field. His legacy of innovation and dedication continues to inspire those of us in the industry.
The event also featured a collaboration with Oregon MESA, an organization committed to diversifying STEM education. Attendees had the opportunity to contribute to this vital mission through donations, helping empower historically underrepresented students to explore careers in engineering and beyond.
The night wasn’t just about competition—it was a relaxed and inspiring setting to connect with colleagues, celebrate our field, and reflect on how far the transportation community has come.
Looking forward to next year!
