Springtime!

Each of our 3 offices (Portland, Bend, and Vancouver) have shared a project that they are excited to get moving on as the weather warms up:

Fairwell Festival - Lancaster Mobley on the boards Spring 2025

FairWell Festival 2025

Lancaster Mobley has been hired back by festival organizers to update the comprehensive Traffic Control Plan we prepared in 2024, helping accommodate the large crowds and get visitors in and out more efficiently.  Our firm was first enlisted after the festival’s 2023 inaugural event, where full parking lots and heavy traffic clogged up city roads and Highway 97 for hours.  Last year, traffic congestion was dramatically reduced thanks to the implementation of several key recommendations in our plan:

  1. Encouraging Off-Site Parking: A shuttle service from Redmond and Bend was availble, making it easier for attendees to park off-site and ride directly to the venue.
  2. Promoting On-Site Camping: With additional RV and tent camping spaces, patrons could stay on-site, reducing the number of vehicles exiting the fairgrounds each night.
  3. Clearly Marked “No Parking” Areas: To prevent illegal parking, we’ve designated no parking zones along key roadways.
  4. Clear Egress Plan: An organized traffic flow strategy helped clear the parking lots efficiently at the end of each day.
  5. Pedestrian and Rideshare Safety: Designated pedestrian crossings and improved lighting to enhance safety for those walking to and from the event. Additionally, rideshare services like Lyft and Uber had a dedicated drop-off and pick-up area, ensuring smooth ingress and egress.
  6. Enforcing No Parking Zones

We’re looking forward to another successful event in 2025!
