Transportation Analyst
Lancaster Mobley is seeking a mid-level Transportation Analyst to join our downtown Vancouver, Washington office to support our senior transportation engineering and design teams. This is a hybrid position that allows remote work, with a minimum of three days in the office. In-office requirements may be higher initially, during on-boarding and training.
Areas of focus: Transportation-focused Operations, Infrastructure Design, & Planning
This position will work closely with senior team members on a variety of transportation engineering, planning, and operations projects. Primary responsibilities include assisting with and preparing a wide variety of transportation operations analyses and report writing. This includes the preparation of transportation impact analyses, sight distance evaluations, safety audits, field investigations, and detailed report preparation. Strong writing skills are essential.
Secondary responsibilities include assisting with traffic management plans, parking analysis and management plans, and infrastructure design. Design tasks could include projects that include traffic signals, street lighting, ITS, signing and striping, and temporary traffic control plans.
We provide team members opportunities for exposure to a wide variety of transportation engineering and planning projects to develop a breadth of experience and the ability to pursue areas of practice that align with their interests.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science Degree in civil engineering or a related field in traffic engineering and transportation planning
Experience: Minimum of two years of related work experience
Certifications: EIT
Skills
General: Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills are essential. Direct experience preparing Transportation Impact Analyses and familiarity with the land-use entitlement process in Oregon and Washington is a plus.
Software and Traffic Analysis Tools: Synchro, Highway Capacity Manual methodologies, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite.
Bonus Familiarity: GIS experience, Bluebeam, AGi32, AutoTURN, Sidra.
