Dicky’s RV Resort is under construction in Ridgefield! Daniel Stumpf, PE, who heads up our Vancouver office, was in charge of the project.
The proposed Dicky RV & Resort development in unincorporated Clark County, Washington, underwent a comprehensive Transportation Impact Study (TIS) to assess its potential effects on local transportation infrastructure. The project involved constructing an RV park capable of accommodating up to 170 RVs on approximately 9.86 acres of land.
Trip generation estimates were derived from both standard industry data and a custom study. Trip distribution analysis projected the likely routes of travel to and from the site based on regional transportation models. Selected study intersections for analysis were identified, taking into account the projected trip volumes and potential impacts on the transportation system. Data collection methodologies were established, considering the fluctuating traffic conditions due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The conclusions outlined the recommended study intersections and sought confirmation on various aspects of the study methodology, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and providing valuable insights for informed decision-making regarding the proposed development’s transportation implications.
